Jim proudly served his country in the United States Army for three years before dedicating more than three decades of his life to the U.S. Postal Service. His strong work ethic, quiet kindness, and steadfast sense of duty were evident in everything he did.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Corbin F. Mayhugh and Flossie E. Mayhugh, as well as several siblings. He is survived by his three children — Christie Boissy, James B. Mayhugh, and Matthew J. Mayhugh — and four grandchildren: Bethany Boissy, Emily Boissy, Matthew Mayhugh Jr., and Jacob Mayhugh.
Jim enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, especially bowling, fishing, and cheering on Arkansas sports. Those who knew him will remember his warmth, integrity, and easygoing spirit.
A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Pinecrest Funeral Home from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, where family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of his life.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who were fortunate to know him.
