Jane was born on August 12, 1954, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Benjamin and Bonnie Spickes, both of whom preceded her in death. She is survived by her beloved husband, Art, of over 50 years of marriage; her son, Derek, and his wife, Alicia; and her three cherished granddaughters, Paige, Chloe, and Lyla. She is also survived by her brother, Benjamin Jr, and his wife, Betty; her sister-in-law, Janet, wife of her late brother, David; and several nieces and nephews.
Jane graduated from Parkview High School in Little Rock, Arkansas, and began her career at First National Bank in Little Rock, where she met the love of her life, Art. She devoted the majority of her life to being a homemaker, finding great joy in caring for her family and supporting the people and activities that mattered most to them. Whether volunteering at school, sporting events, neighborhood gatherings, or church activities, Jane gave generously of her time and herself.
Her faith was an important part of her life. For many years, Jane was actively involved in Bible Study Fellowship, where she developed deep and lasting friendships with fellow sisters in Christ. Above all, Jane had a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. While she endured many physical ailments during her years on earth, her family finds comfort and peace in knowing that she is now free from pain and rejoicing in the presence of her Savior, worshiping God in Heaven for eternity.
The Spicer family is deeply grateful for the love, kindness, and support shown to Jane throughout the years, particularly by Dr. Whorton, the compassionate staff at Mt Carmel Community, Misty and the palliative care team, and the Hospice Home Care staff. Their care and compassion have meant so much to Jane and her family.
