

Janice Young, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at the age of 75. She was born on January 10, 1949, and her life was a testament to love, passion, and boundless zest for living.
Janice found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. Gardening, tending to flowers and plants with tender care, expressing her creativity through seamstress work and painting, and experiencing the freedom of the open road on her husband’s Harley motorcycles were among her greatest joys.
In her 75 years of life, Janice shared countless moments of laughter, love, and warmth with her devoted husband, Ray Young, whom she was married to for 48 years. Their union was a beacon of enduring love and unwavering commitment.
Janice's legacy extends to her daughter, Toni Leftwich, and son-in-law Keith Leftwich, whom she nurtured with unconditional love and unwavering support. Her grandchildren, Dakota Leftwich, Brenden Leftwich, and Jordan Allen, were the light of her life, and her great-granddaughter, Jenna Lynn Allen, brought immeasurable joy and laughter into her world.
In addition to her immediate family, Janice leaves behind her nephew, Jason McElroy, her sibling, Terry Lenahan, and a multitude of close friends who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her.
Though Janice has departed from this world, her spirit will live on in the hearts and memories of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Janice is preceded in death by her parents, Margaret & Cleveland McElroy, her daughter, Kimberly Allen-Herring, and sister Susan Andrews. While they may have left this world before her, their presence will always be felt among those who loved them dearly.
As we mourn the loss of Janice Young, let us also celebrate the vibrant life she lived and the profound impact she made on those around her. May her memory be a source of comfort and strength in the days ahead.
Funeral graveside service will be Monday February 26, 2024 at 3:00p.m. With visitation one hour prior at 2:00p.m. to allow friends and family to gather and pay their respects to Janice Young, a remarkable woman whose light will continue to shine brightly in our hearts.
