Jeannie P. Hobbs

Jeannie was born on October 13, 1945, in Benton, Arkansas.

Jeannie married her high school sweetheart, Robert on February 8, 1963. During their 61 years of marriage, they had two daughters, Kristie and Kimby.

Jeannie was known for her love, faith, kindness, grace, hospitality, passion for craft making such as: baking, sewing, ceramics and appreciation of nature and beauty. Most of all, Jeannie loved her family dearly, her friends and her Savior Jesus Christ. She had the best job of all raising her daughters and grandchildren. She was a faithful servant at church, homeroom Mom, and the ultimate party planner.

Jeannie is preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Hobbs Jr., parents Marvin and Lillie Whitmire, and mother-in-law Annie Belle Hobbs.

She is survived by her children: Kristie (Brad) Ratliff and Kimby (Greg) O’Briant, her grandchildren: Connor (Hannah) Ratliff, Cassidy Ratliff, Cooper O’Briant, and Wyatt O’Briant and 2 great-grandchildren: Amelia and Lucas Ratliff.

Jeannie was a devoted mother and MeeMee, which filled her heart with pride and joy. She had the opportunity to raise all her grandchildren until they reached school age. Her love and legacy lives on in them.

A celebration of her life will be held at Pinecrest Funeral Home on October 30, 2024, at 1:30 pm.
