I remember Johnny all the way back to junior high, and even before. We went to parties together and hung out and he was just a good friend. It does not surprise me to know he was a police officer. Such a man of integrity. I am sad for his passing.

Johnny was a good neighbor! I remember we got locked out of our house on accident and he let me and my husband borrow his truck to get a spare key from our family member. My grandson (Collin) used to like to go and see him when he would be outside and Johnny would usually have a piece of candy to give him. He will be missed and my thoughts and prayers for Lori and the family!

Johnny was a second dad to me. Jonathan and I started dating when I was 17 so I've known him for half of my life. As a teenager, I thought he was so mean and I was terrified of him. It turns out he was just showing some tough love to his son. I grew to know him as a big teddy bear who would give the world to a stranger. After having children I saw even more of his heart.
Johnny Maack, pop pop.
We love you. We miss you. You were special to us and you will forever hold a peice of our hearts.

Oh the memories I have of this sweet man. Johnny was always my cousin thanks to Dorothy Pearl. But I never got to know him until I married his friend, all the Maacks' friend, indeed, Rick Howard. My memories are from long ago when the twins were babes. Rick and I would go share a meal with Johnny's family or we would gather at Bill and Dororthy Pearl's. Laugh, oh, the stories, so many. Such wonderful memories. I called Johnny Christmas Eve and am so happy I did. Love you Bonnie Blue and Jo and family. May the angels wrap their wings around you in comfort and peace.
