John proudly served his country in the United States Army and graduated from Belleville Junior College. He then spent over 41 years working in research and development with Aloca where he had several patents.
In his spare time John enjoyed gardening and was a member of First Baptist Church of Benton.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 59 beautiful years, Judy Marhanka; his children, Lisa Nicole Quimby, Curtis Marhanka, Adam Marhanka and Melissa Wiggins; grandchildren, Shawn Marhanka, Brittany Graham, Keeley Quimby, Dawlton Marhanka, Zane Wiggins; great grandchildren, Jensen and Micah Graham; siblings, Katherine Louise, Ethel Mae, Frank and Betty as well as numerous other extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday from 1:00 to 2:00pm at Pinecrest Funeral Home with Funeral Service to immediately follow. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
