

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jurline JoVanna Willie Lee Gilliam, age 35, and her beloved daughter, KayLee Akaya Marie Montgomery, who passed away together on August 6, 2026, in Mayflower, Arkansas.
Jurline was born on November 8, 1990, in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend whose presence brought joy and love to those around her.
Jurline graduated from Oak Grove High School. She enjoyed many activities throughout her life, including collecting crystal rocks, band, and cheerleading. Above all, Jurline cherished being a mother and the love she shared with her children and family.
Jurline leaves to cherish her memory her children: Donovan Willie Lee Gilliam, Xavier Gilliam, and Jazman Kay Lee Montgomery of Jasper County, Hardeeville, South Carolina.
She is also survived by her mother, Levetia Joshua of North Little Rock, sisters, LaRosa Mary Joshua Howard of North Little Rock, Lashanna Gilliam of Texas, Sharita Brandon of Texas, and Deandra Anderson of Texas; and her brothers, Nemiah Gilliam of North Little Rock, William Gilliam Jr. of North Little Rock, and Deagalo Gilliam of North Little Rock.
Jurline was preceded in death by her father, William Lee Gilliam; grandfather, Willie Edward Joshua Jr.; grandmother, Rosamary Geter Joshua; sister, Shanika Gilliam Mosley; and her beloved daughter, KayLee Akaya Marie Montgomery, who passed alongside her.
KayLee Akaya Marie Montgomery was born on June 8, 2024, in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was a precious daughter, sister, granddaughter, and beautiful soul who brought love and joy to everyone blessed to know her.
KayLee is survived by her father, William Montgomery Jr.; brothers, Donovan Willie Lee Gilliam, Xavier Gilliam, and Andrew Montgomery; sisters, Jazman Kay Lee Montgomery of Jasper County, Hardeeville, South Carolina, and Lexi Montgomery; and grandparents, Levetia Joshua, Joyce Montgomery and William “Bill” Montgomery Sr.
Kaylee attended Word Aflame Church with T.T. Rosa. She loved to sing and dance, and her sweet spirit brought happiness to those around her. Though her life was very brief, the love she shared and the memories she created will remain forever in the hearts of her family.
KayLee passed away on August 6, 2026, in Mayflower, Arkansas, alongside her beloved mother, Jurline JoVanna Willie Lee Gilliam.
Their lives were deeply connected, and they will forever be remembered together as a mother and daughter whose bond could never be broken.
