Leonard Stanley Clark, Jr, of Benton, passed away November 15, 2021. He was born December 16, 1946 to the late Leonard Sr. and Joyce Clark.

Stanley's gentle and caring spirit and huge heart were felt by all who knew him. He was a man of God and knew that when the Lord called him home, he would be ready to dance down those streets of gold. He loved fiercely, was fun loving, outgoing and loved to make a deal. He was quick witted and absolutely loved a good joke, but knew when it was time to be serious. He had a special gift of making anyone he met feel like they had been lifelong friends after only a few minutes. He knew how to make you feel special and was adept at bringing out the best in those around him. Stanley was an avid outdoors-man and loved hunting with family and friends, golfing, fishing and playing around in the woods. He loved spending time at the deer camp and could be found there most weekends during deer season. His love for the outdoors was only surpassed by his love for his family. He was very caring and was selfless - often dropping whatever he was doing to help someone out with a request. He loved his wife, Pattye, tremendously and together, they did an All-star job of raising and showing their kids and grand-kids how to succeed in life and more importantly, how to be good people. He loved his siblings and often told stories of their time growing up. His kids and grand-kids were his world and throughout his life he was a fixture at all their events. He could always be found on the sidelines or in the crowd for a practice, school play, class party, musical or a sporting event. It didn't matter what it was (or if he understood the game), he was there to cheer them on. He was their biggest fan. Stanley left behind many wonderful memories and stories for all than knew him. He will be sorely missed and will forever be remembered. We love you, Pop.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Pattye Clark, two sons; Leonard Stanley Clark 3rd (Molly), David Clark, grandchildren; Madelyn, Rachael, Emily and Jonathan Clark, sister; Joyce Johnson and brother; Jimmy Clark (JoAnn).

Stanley and I knew one another when we were around 10 or 11. He lived close to my Aunt Elizabeth Christian. He and I named every tree on my Aunt's property and were real buddies. As time passed, we lost touch with one another. My brother Carroll Posey called me about 3 months ago and said Stanley was going to his church Midtowne in Benton. I called Stanley and we relived memories of our youth. I never met Pattye, but Stanley raved to me about his wonderful, beautiful wife. Just know that I will miss my friend Stanley. "And the peace of God that pass the all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds thru Christ Jesus". Philippians 4:7

So sorry to hear that Stanley has gone to be with our Lord. We were brothers. I don’t know if you will understand it or not. We were in the Army together and best buddies! I’ve found a few pictures of us while overseas. I pray for his family and friends. God Bless you Stan. I will miss you.
