Lewis E. “Eddie” Simmons, age 77, of North Little Rock, passed away September 25, 2023, at Robinson Nursing and Rehab. He was born July 20, 1946, to the late Doyle Kidd Simmons and Alice Mae (Lewis) Simmons in Conway. Eddie is also preceded in death by his brother, Frank Simmons, and sister, Margaret Robinson.
Eddie served in the ARMY National Guard for six years in the 148th Medical Unit at Camp Robinson. He was a Master Carpenter and is known for his work ethic. He was a member of the Carpenter’s Union.
Eddie is survived by his wife of 30 years, Judy Calfee Simmons; son, Bryan Edward Simmons (Nancy) of Benton; daughters, Kristi Ann Massey of Benton, Cindy Underwood of Jacksonville, Melanie Oglesby (Edward) of Little Rock; grandchildren: Harli Simmons, Brynn Simmons, Devyn Brooks, Shelbi Brooks, Sydney Harris, Kristin Oglesby, and Katherine Oglesby; great-grandchildren: Ozzie Hoakums, and Mary Fesee; sister, Barbara Brown; and mother-in-law, Ella Mae Calfee.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Graves Church, The Grove Food Pantry, 4617 Oak Grove Road, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72118.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, Sunday, October 1, 2023, at Pinecrest Funeral Home, 7401 Hwy 5 N, Alexander, AR 72202. Celebration of Life will be 10:00 AM, Monday, October 2, 2023, at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
Eddie will be laid to rest in Pinecrest Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 7401 HIGHWAY 5 N, ALEXANDER, AR 72002.
