Linda Meeks

Linda Carol Kennemur-Meeks passed away Tuesday January 27, 2015 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born September 17, 1949 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Bonnie Kennemur and Irene Story. She was survived by her husband Marion Meeks of forty-seven years; one son, Shawn Meeks and one daughter, Tammie Cash; three grandchildren, Austin Meeks, Chandler Meeks, and Codie Cash; and one great-grandchild, Charleigh Meeks; two sisters, Ava Pitts and Victoria Reynolds of North Little Rock, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters Kathy Partain and Kay Meadows. Linda was a Summa Cum Laude graduate of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and a member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church. She was an employee of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock for twelve years and the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service for the past sixteen years. Visitation Services will be held Thursday January 29, 2015 at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home located at 10200 Hwy 5 N, Alexander, AR from 6-8pm. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 30, 2015 at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home at 10am with Brother Randy Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Cemetery.
