March 25, 1937November 19, 2018

Mary Louise McGarity Myrick was raised into Heaven on November 19th, 2018 at the age of 81. She was born March 25th, 1937 in Sheridan, Arkansas to Lester and Wilma (Haynes) McGarity. She graduated from Sheridan High School in 1955, and moved to Little Rock, where she worked as a ward clerk at UAMS and met the love of her life, Thomas Eugene Myrick. They were married December 26th, 1956 and raised four children: Rita (David) Holman of North Little Rock, Marcie (Clay) Masters of Kansas City, Paul (Appy) Myrick of North Little Rock, and Kevin (Cara) Myrick of Sherwood. The family continued with 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, plus 2 more on the way. Louise is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Rita Holman, brother Max McGarity, and 3 tiny grandbabies.

Louise attended LPN School graduating in 1976 and worked in the Radiology Department at UAMS before retiring. She was a deeply spiritual woman who loved God on a personal level. Her hobbies included crochet and various crafts, along with bible study. She had a fascination in studying family genealogy and history. She had traced her family roots back to the Cherokee Indians and was extremely proud of her Indian heritage. She loved Nascar, enjoyed cooking and family time. Her house was the hub for many family gathering, and her spiritual guidance and observation was her strongest gift. She will be missed deeply by family and friends; but we know her spirit will be with us always- until we meet again!
