Heaven became a little sweeter today as Nona Diane Granger entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior. While our hearts are heavy with loss, we rejoice knowing that Diane has received the reward she faithfully lived her life for. Today she heard the words every believer longs to hear: “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
To those of us left behind, she will always be remembered as a devoted mother, cherished Nanna, loving sister, caring aunt, and faithful friend. But in Heaven, she was welcomed as a beloved daughter of God and joyfully reunited with those she loved so deeply—her husband, children, parents, and brother. What a glorious reunion that must have been.
Diane was born on January 25, 1950, and was preceded in death by her parents, Jeff and Winona Watkins; her beloved husband, Curtis Granger; her daughters, Stephanie Culbreath and Terri Granger; and her brother, Jeffery Paul Watkins. She leaves behind a family who will forever treasure her memory: her son, Jimmy Granger, and his wife, Sheri; her grandchildren, Cody Granger, Emily Culbreath, Christopher Culbreath, and Leah Hutto; her sisters, Jane Davis and Mary Jones and her husband, Gary; her niece, Joanna Wistrand; her nephew, Adam Watkins; and many other relatives and friends whose lives she touched with her kindness and love.
Diane graduated from Phillips Community College and spent many dedicated years working for Lenders Title. She was a faithful member of Central Baptist Church, where her love for the Lord was evident in the way she lived each day.
She found joy in the simple blessings of life—watching birds, cooking for those she loved, and spending time with her faithful companion, Ozzy. But nothing brought her greater happiness than her family. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and
she treasured every opportunity to care for them, encourage them, and create memories that will be cherished forever.
Though our hearts grieve, we find comfort in knowing that Diane's faith has become sight. She is whole, healed, and forever in the presence of Jesus. Her legacy of faith, love, compassion, and devotion to family will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 22, at 10:00 a.m. at Forrest Hills Cemetery in Alexander, Arkansas. Pastor Don Chandler will officiate the service.
