Pat was an infant during WWII and for a short time was relocated with her family from Liverpool to Wales, to avoid potential bombings by the Germans of the port city, Liverpool. As a teenager, Pat often danced at The Cavern nightclub in Liverpool to The Quarrymen, a band soon to be famously known as The Beatles. Pat met and married a U.S. airman and “yank”, George Seitz, and moved with him to Minneapolis, Minn, where her four children were born. In 1974 the family relocated to Little Rock, Ark.
Pat was a loving, kind soul who was adored and cherished by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Stephen Seitz; first husband, George Seitz; second husband, James “Mitch” Mitchener; and sister, Maureen McDuffie. She is survived by her sons Paul Seitz, Mike Seitz (Shelley), and her daughter, Jacqui Blacklaw (Greg). She is also survived by her sister, Fran Bricker; brother, Dennis Briercliffe; and grandchildren Breanne Derby, Matt Seitz, Tyler Seitz, and Hannah Blacklaw. Additionally, she is survived by four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Briarwood Nursing & Rehabilitation in Little Rock for their amazing care of Pat. Seeing how Pat was so lovingly cared for by everyone at Briarwood has been a great comfort to her family. A private memorial service will be held on October 17, 2025, at Pinecrest Funeral Home in Alexander, Ark.
