

Robert Gray Hobbs Jr, devoted husband, father and grandfather, age 79, of Little Rock, Arkansas went home to be with Jesus on Friday, January 19, 2024. He was born February 19, 1944 in Benton, Arkansas.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Jeannie Hobbs; his daughters: Kristie Ratliff and husband Brad; Kimby O'Briant and husband Greg. His grandchildren: Connor Gray Ratliff (Hannah), Cassidy Ratliff, Cooper O'Briant and Wyatt O'Briant. One great-granddaughter: Amelia (daughter to Connor and Hannah).
Robert was a well-respected veteran, insurance agent, businessman, teacher and friend. But most of all he was a Man after God’s own heart. He loved the Lord and led his life to serve and honor Him.
Robert held many positions throughout his life. He served as a Deacon in the church, and served on the youth and finance committees. He had the honor of serving as the Chairman of the Deacons and Youth committees at church. He enjoyed teaching Sunday School for the youth and adults at Temple Baptist Church, and was active in his Sunday School class at Parkhill Baptist Church. Robert was President of the Arkansas Quarter Horse Association and Bryant Riding Club for a period of time. He loved horses, the New York Yankees and was an avid deer hunter. His most valued time was spent with his family, especially his grandchildren
Robert is preceded in death by his mother, Annie Belle Hobbs and father and mother in law Marvin and Lillie Whitmire.
A private family service with military honors will be held as a tribute to his life.
