He was born to Carmen Bryant (“C.B.”) Rogers and LaFaye Rogers in Little Rock, Arkansas, on February 11, 1943, and leaves behind many family members who will miss him. The list includes his wife of 59 years, Vicki S. (Basnett) Rogers of Benton; daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Kurt Peters of Benton; grandson, Nicholas Bryant Peters, and his wife, Heather, of Benton; granddaughter Lindsey Peters and her husband, Andrew Rindahl, of Little Rock; and granddaughter Erin Peters of Bauxite; brother, Jim (Ruth) Rogers of Lavaca and their family; sister-in-law, Connie (Bob) McNees of Greenwood, Arkansas, and family, which includes Casey (Heath) Jones, Christopher McNees, and Megan (Scott) Bailey, and many other beloved nieces and nephews.
A man of impeccable taste, fierce integrity, extravagant love, and reverent faithfulness to the Lord, he led a quiet life that touched others with his kindness and generosity. Whether he was on the job during his 44 years with J.A. Riggs Tractor Co.; serving as a deacon or youth leader at church; motoring around in a boat on the lake; being his grandkids’ biggest fan in the bleachers; or just sunning on the deck with Vicki watching the waves roll in and listening to music, his family always knew these things: He loved them, he would always do right, and—as much as it was in his power—he would make things as fun as possible along the way.
The family will gather privately and no other services will be held.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.pinecrestfh.com for the Rogers family.
