She graduated from Texas Senior High School in Texarkana, Texas, attended Texarkana Junior College where she studied drama, and later earned her theater degree from Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Throughout her life, Robin lived in Dallas, Texas, Charlotte, North Carolina, and Little Rock, Arkansas. While attending college, she held several unique jobs, including selling cemetery plots door-to-door and performing as "Klutz the Clown" at a stock car racetrack near Texarkana.
Robin had a wonderful sense of humor and embraced life with a fun-loving spirit. She often joked about being one of the "Spinster Sisters" with her sister Susan and was known for her colorful personality. During her illness, Mari gifted her a purple wig, reminding Robin of her wish to someday be the fun, quirky aunt with ever-changing hair colors. She also treasured the lifelong friendships she built over the years, ending countless calls, texts, and emails with the phrase, "LYLARSA"—Love You Like A Real Sister Always.
Those left to cherish her memory include sisters, Sandy Burbank and husband Dean of Benton, Arkansas, and Susan Bush and husband Richard of Austin, Texas; her brother, Tim Overstreet and wife Cyndi of Benton, Arkansas; her nephews and nieces, Michael Burbank and his son Parker Burbank and wife Amelia, Michael's daughter Stella Burbank, Matthew Burbank and wife Sarah, Mari Burbank, and Georgeann Burbank; along with many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
A Graveside Service will be held at Pinecrest Memorial Park, 7401 Highway 5 N, Alexander, Arkansas 72002, on July 6, 2026, at 10:00 am. A reception will follow the service at Pinecrest Funeral Home.
