

Rosalie Gay Daniel, 83, of Little Rock, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025. Born to Clark and Myrene McCarty, she graduated from Ouachita Baptist University with a degree in chemistry and UA-Fayetteville with a M.S.E. in Library Science.
A life-long advocate for education, she served as the librarian at Horace Mann Junior High in the Little Rock School District (LRSD) for over 30 years. Even after retiring, she volunteered her time in LRSD libraries and Shorter College. She enjoyed singing and sang in the choir at Otter Creek First Baptist Church. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family, taking trips with her children.
Preceded in death by husband, Doyle; mother, Myrene; father, Clark; and brothers, Johnny and Joe.
She is survived by her brother, Jimmy (Carol) McCarty; sister, Sally (Garvin) McCarty Abernathy; her two sons, David (Pam) and Joseph (Katharyn) Daniel; daughter, Katherine (Rick) Woodworth; and three grandchildren, Lorelai, Rotta, and Grace.
A visitation for Rosalie will be held Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Pinecrest Funeral Home, 7401 HIGHWAY 5 N, ALEXANDER, AR 72002, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
