Sarah Rebecca Sands

Born on December 16, 1949, in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Sarah lived a life rooted in faith, love, and devotion to her family. She met her husband, Richard M. Sands, and together they built a beautiful marriage of 57 years after being wed on June 21, 1968.

Sarah was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who took immense pride in caring for her family and ensuring they always felt loved and supported. She found great joy in her family and treasured every moment spent with them. She loved spending time at home, surrounded by those she loved most.

She found joy in life’s simple blessings—reading her Bible, sharing an evening cup of coffee with family and friends, and giving her time to others. Sarah was dedicated to serving her community and took great pride in volunteering wherever she was needed. She enjoyed fellowship and service rooted in faith. Her unwavering devotion to God was evident in every aspect of her life, and she cherished opportunities to grow spiritually through prayer, service, and Christian broadcast programs.

Sarah is survived by her husband, Richard M. Sands; her children Michelle Wells (Michael), Richard Sands (Rebecca), and Rebecca Brewer (Shawn); and her grandchildren Krystal Kuban (Blake), Matthew Wells (Cortney), Hunter Smith, Christopher Sands, Sarah Scott (Carter), Austin Sands, Michael Sands, Madison Favart, and Ashley Sands. She was blessed with great-grandchildren Connor Wells, Nicolas Wells, Coraline Wells, Karlie Kuban, Matilda Wells, Jaxon Sands, and Reed Scott.

She is also survived by her sister Shirley Rowland, her brother Roscoe Carter, and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Sarah’s life will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Pinecrest Funeral Home & Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. and burial at 12:00 p.m.

Sarah’s love, faith, and kindness will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew her.
