Toni M Baxter

October 9, 1972January 4, 2020

Toni Michelle Baxter, 47, of Bryant, AR, passed away peacefully in her sleep and went on to a very special place where there is no suffering or pain. She was born on October 9, 1972 in Little Rock, AR. She is survived by her mother, Carolyn Baxter of Mayflower; father, Phil Baxter; aunt, Brenda Davis of Sheridan; daughter, Emily Vandewalker of Nashville, TN; son & daughter- in- law, Xavier & Megan Vandewalker of Knoxville, TN; and three grandchildren, Cadence, Justin, and Zander. She is preceded in death by her loving sister, Kimberly Baxter- Hughes; and grandmother, Helen (Nanny) Winter Wilfong. Toni was easily one of the most beautiful people and had a smile that could light up any room. She was bold and fearless with a determined will who always stood up for the underdog, often standing up for anyone. She had a strong work ethic and excelled in everything she attempted and was very intelligent while remaining creative, often crafting or crocheting. She was also an amazing cook and host, making meals that comforted you, and made friends wherever she went. Memorial service to be announced at a later date.

My heart aches for you Carolyn, Aunt Brenda, Shane, Emily and Xavier. The only comfort is knowing that Toni is at peace and with Kim and Nanny. I pray that you all find healing and peace within yourselves. Your family has always and will always have a special place in my heart. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Much love to you all.

Toni & I go way back to middle school. She was always so full of life & so full of energy! She was an unstoppable force & that’s what I loved about her. I am going to share Toni’s fondest memory of us because every time I spoke to her, she always brought it up. In 6th grade, we went to basketball camp at HSU. We shared a dorm room together. We had basketball practice several times a day & there was no air conditioning in the gym, (so me & my infinite wisdom) decided to turn the a/c down as low as it would go in the dorm room, so when we got back it would be nice & cold. (It was a very old unit that came down from the ceiling in our room). We go on to basketball practice & come back after a long, hot day, only to find out our a/c unit had ran too hard & caught on fire. Needless to say the entire dorm had to evacuate because of this! Lol miss ya Toni! Love you

To all of you, I am so very sorry for your loss. Toni was so young. I attended your mom and dad's wedding many years ago. They were just babies! Neither of you probably remembers our family (Daria, Art (Mel's youngest brother), Natalie, Aaron and Alyson) but we keep up with you through Carla and Jamie. It has been a joy watching you grow and become the amazing adults you are now. I do believe your mom is at peace. I hope you are comforted in your love for each other.

I never had the honor of meeting Toni, although I feel like I knew her thru memories of her that have been shared by her daughter, Emily. Emily is one of the strongest, bravest, and kindest souls I've ever met and I have no doubt that she inherited some of these traits from her mother. Sending love, prayers, and warm regards during this difficult time. May she finally be at peace and have eternal rest.

Prayers for Toni and her family.

I remember special memories with Toni in junior high and years past. Her smile and laugh was brightening to a rainy day. I pray she is at peace in her heart and living the life she always dreamed! ❤️🙏🏻

I've known Toni since high school, we met up not long ago, a year maybe, our paths crossed again, we had some of the same struggles in life. Toni was a very smart, beautiful soul, I'm thankful for the time I got to spend with her. R.I.P. Toni

You will be greatly missed. Will miss those days of playing ball, and being just goofy.
You have gave many friends your time and loved. May you find your peace and be with God.
