

Vivian Louise McDonald passed away on March 21, 2026, at the age of 92. She was born on June 19, 1933, in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Henry and Ollie Shoemaker. In addition to her parents, Vivian is preceded in death by her beloved of 48 years, Olen McDonald; sisters, Jean Green, Thelma Davis, and Judy Wallace; and brother, Billy Joe Shoemaker. Vivian will be remembered as a hard-working, independent, honest, kind-hearted, thoughtful, and cherished woman whose presence left a lasting impression on those who knew her.
Vivian devoted 30 years to her work as a floral designer, spending most of that time at Breedlove Florist. Her dedication to her craft and the pride she took in her work were evident in the beauty she helped create and the care she brought to each day. Away from work, Vivian found joy in the simple, meaningful comforts of home and creativity. She liked to sew, craft, cook, and crochet—pursuits that reflected her thoughtful nature and her steady, independent spirit.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Olene Ward, Mel (Jane) McDonald, Sherry (Johnny) Minick, Vickie Randall, Nanette (John) Clay; grandchildren, Roger (Catherine) Ward, Mason (Gloria) Ward, Aaron (Julie) Minick, Jessica (Justin) Medders, Hannah (Matthew) Ulvik, Jared Randall, Lyle (Alexandria) McDonald, and Elise (John) Willding; siblings, Shirley (Melvin)Norris, Jack (Kathy) Shoemaker, and Janie Minnis; 20 great-grandchildren; as well many other beloved family members and friends.
Visitation will take place Friday, March 27, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Pinecrest Funeral Home, 7401 HIGHWAY 5 N, ALEXANDER, AR 72002. A Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 pm, also at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest immediately following the service at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
