Wanda Lee Boerner (Williams) was born December 7, 1929, in Commerce, OK and entered into eternal peace on Saturday, March 1st. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Percy and Minnie Williams; her husband, Charlie Boerner and her beloved children, Frank Boerner and Carol Ann Hatten. She’s survived by her son, Carl Boerner of North Little Rock; her grandchildren, Trina Johns (Mike) and Jody Boerner; great-grandchildren, Brittanie Wallace (Taylor), Peyton Johns, Riley Johns (Allison), Emma Boerner, and Logan Boerner; and great-great grandchildren Adalee, Atlas, and Isaiah whom she loved dearly.
Wanda worked as a rural mail carrier for the U.S. Post Office for 30 years. She enjoyed working at the Highway 70 sale barn in North Little Rock on her days off and loved to tell stories about her time working there. She also helped out at the polls during election times.
After retirement, she spent most of her time volunteering for Meals on Wheels and the Senior Companion programs. She also joined a gym and took water aerobics and yoga.
She loved life, her job, meeting new people, her family, and spent her last years surrounded by her great-great grandchildren who loved their “grandma” very much.
The family will have a private memorial service, and she will be laid to rest at Pinecrest Funeral Home & Memorial Park in Alexander.
