

Wilda Mae Golenor, 89, of Little Rock entered her heavenly home on March 10, 2017. She was greeted by her parents, Leslie and Beatrice Wheatley Smith, sister Molly Frances Jordon, brother Joe Dudley Smith and her beloved husband of over 50 years, Raymond Douglas Golenor, Sr. Wilda was born on April 29, 1927 near Tichnor, AR and was the oldest of 4 children. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Lynn Golenor Cortez (Corey), son Raymond Douglas Golenor, Jr., sister Roma Nell Waddell (Ben), granddaughter Krista and grandson Colbe Cortez. Wilda was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to so many. Her family, especially her grandchildren, and her church were everything to her. She was an active member of the Mabelvale United Methodist Church for over 55 years and a devoted member of the United Methodist Women. She loved her church and her church family with all of her heart. A very special thank you to the staff of Mt. Carmel Memory Care Unit for the love and care you provided for her over the past year. She loved each one of you and was so happy at Mt. Carmel. Also a special thank you to the staff at Saline Memorial Hospice for the care and compassion you provided to her and our family during her last week. Memorials can be made in Wilda Mae's name to Mabelvale United Methodist Church or Saline Memorial Hospice. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 15 at Forest Hills Funeral Home, 10200 Hwy. 5 North, Alexander. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 16 at the funeral home with burial following at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
