

Willie Mae (Scott) Jackson, age 90, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, October 5, 2025. She was born in Harrisburg, Arkansas on February 26, 1935 to the late William and Lillie Mae (Truman) Scott.
Willie Mae graduated from the Arkansas School for the Deaf in 1955. She was a cheerleader in high school and was elected homecoming queen during her senior year.
She married the love of her life, John L. Jackson on August 5, 1956. They were married for 60 years and had an amazing life together.
A devoted mother of three and grandmother of three, Willie Mae was the heart and soul of her family. She was known for her joy and kindness with her beautiful smile and infectious laughter.
Willie Mae was a member of the First Baptist Church Deaf Ministry for many years. She was a lifetime member of the Arkansas Association of the Deaf Senior Citizens
Proceeded in death by her parents, her husband John L. Jackson, her son Jerry L. Jackson, and her sister Edna Helm. She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Jackson and Carol Stratton of Little Rock; grandchildren, Kaylee Jackson and Zachary Jackson of Little Rock; Morgan Drysdale (Chris) of Roanoke, Texas and great granddaughter Palmer Maeve Drysdale who will be born in February of 2026; as well as multiple nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the Baptist Health Hospice nurses and staff for your compassion, kindness, and sweet spirits. You went above and beyond for the wonderful care you provided for our mother and grandmother. We are forever grateful.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Pinecrest Funeral Home, 7401 Highway 5N, Alexander, Arkansas 72002 with Pastor Randy Eddy McCain officiating. With visitation starting one hour prior at 10:00 AM.
Donations in Willie Mae's memory may be made to Open Door Community Church of Sherwood and the Arkansas School for the Deaf Historical Museum.
