Sending prayers for strength and courage to you and your family. I had the pleasure of meeting your mother upon joining the board of directors of the Girl Scouts of Lake Erie Council. Cheryl dedicated herself to transforming GSLEC into an inclusive organization for nurturing girls and young women.

It was a privilege to collaborate with Cheryl Elaine Goggans.  May she rest in heavenly peace.


Cheryl was the first CEO that I encountered working at the Girl Scouts that was loving, kind, strong, honest, & loyal.  I have always treasured the memories I had working there for 8 years. I learned a lot from Cheryl. I was so scared to fly and she was the person that said you can do it. My first flight she sent me to was a training. I got there and back safely.  Thanks to Cheryl I don’t mind taking a flight. Thank you Cheryl for sharing your daughter with the Girl Scout Family. Candace, I am so sorry for your loss. May God give you strength during this time. Sending you lots of love, hugs and Prayers.

Edgar & I send our heartfelt sympathies.  Your mother & father were dear friends  to us for many years. Cheryl & I shared not  only the same name but a love of being part of the Arewa Du Du Bridge Club,  Which now consist of Liz, Muriel, Tonya  & myself.  I will miss our robust discussions. Thank you for being a part of my life these past 40 years.  
May You continue your journey of Light knowing that Love is engulfing you.

Cheryl was a strong woman and a great leader.
I admired her as she was my CEO at Girl Scouts of Lake Erie Council.
I learned so much from her and she was never to busy to talk to me.
There are several precious moments I had with her that will remain in my heart and memory.
Candace, I’m so sorry for your loss sweetheart.
You are in my prayers and thoughts.

Cheryl’s and my work together began in 1990.  Her passion was that all girls who wanted to be Girls Scouts should have the opportunity to become one.  Her dedication to Girl Scouting in Schools was sincere and so appreciated.  At every meeting we had, her first reflections, however, were about what her daughter was doing, what she had accomplished since the last time Cheryl and I had met. 

Candace, I am so sorry for your loss.  You are her treasure!

Cheryl was a great officer and she was well thought of as a person and officer!

My condolences to the family for your loss . So many in the Girl Scout movement have been inspired by her leadership and barrier breaking career.  Her legacy will live on in all  the lives she has touched .
