Debbie will always be remembered as a kind friend who loved her family. In high school she was the pretty, athletic girl with glowing, blond locks and a beautiful smile. My fondest memory of Debbie was the time she brought Chase to our home to have a “play date” with my son when they were just babies. We shared our experiences as new moms and a deeper, more meaningful connection was made that day. She assured me I wasn’t alone in my struggle as a first-time mother. We had visits in the Outer Banks when our kids were young and life was a blur. Once they were in school, we were able to meet for lunch and talk about all things family. We enjoyed volunteering at our kid’s high school together. We would catch each other up on what “the kids” were busy doing. These times were a welcome respite from the rigors of raising a family. Debbie was not only a friend from high school where we first met. She was someone who created a community through her desire to surround herself with others. She reached out to me time and time again over the years and as a result, I have these lovely memories I will cherish. 
My family and I are wishing the Bayliss family peace in the knowledge that Debbie touched many lives during her short but meaningful time on this earth.


We treasure all our time with Debbie at many school events and endless baseball games and some wonderful crab leg boils. She was always as nice and sweet as she could be and a very good friend. To know Debbie was to love her. We had many, many fun times together.  It was so obvious how much she loved and supported her boys in everything. She and Jimbo were always the first to offer support and help.   She will be missed terribly. The world was a better place with her in it!!

When I think of Debbie from so long ago, I remember how consistently compassionate & sincere she was with everyone. I cherished her sense of humor & true friendship. Right down to the Gomer Pyle imitations to the turtle face. We played softball against each other until high school. At GHS we played varsity softball together for four years. She was always 100% accurate and forever humble. Debbie was the best gymnast at Bryant Intermediate school that I ever met. Her numerous back flips down a long mat were incredible. We have not lost Debbie; Heaven has gained an awesome person. We will see you again, my friend.

Debbie was a very sweet woman she was always smiling and loving and always loved a having fun with family and friends she always treated everyone with respect God took home another loving Angel 

Dear Deb  Bob Girl, this is for you. You are at the most wonderful beach now with perfect sand, perfect water, perfect temperature,  perfect wavelettes. You and Burt better not start arguing up in Heaven or Saint Peter will kick you both out!! Love to you always.

I worked with Debbie at Virginia Hills. Debbie was a great person with a smile and always so helpful with a kind heart.  She talked frequently about her love of her life Jimbo and her sons. My sincere condolences to all her family. May you rely on God for he will give comfort, peace and healing.

I worked with Debbie at American Gas Association in the early 80s.  She was a wonderful friend and my husband and I enjoyed getting together with Jimbo and Debbie.  Thank you, Jesus, for Debbie.  Prayers to the Bayliss family.

I first met Debbie when I was  in 4th grade and played softball on the Hybla Valley Candy Stripers Team. I still remember how nice she was to me, always positive and welcoming. She was a  great pitcher! 
Then we reconnected in High School, such happy memories of playing softball,  cheerleading and all the high school events.  Great times! Debbie will be missed but her smiling personality  will always be remembered!

Debbie was such a happy positive individual.   Debbie was always laughing and making others laugh as well.  I have known Debbie for 50 years serving on the Groveton High school cheerleading squad with her.  Debbie was such a bright woman and always a fierce friend.  Gone too soon.
