Eileen was born in Bedfordshire, England on September 22, 1924 to Arthur & Mabel Hubbins. Her father was a Haulage Contractor.
During World War II, she enlisted in the Royal British Army, served as a Corporal and was stationed in Thessalonica, Greece where she met and married Clifford H. Brown in 1947.
Mrs. Brown Immigrated to the USA on March 15, 1954 with husband, Clifford, and 2 young daughters, Wendy & Linda. They settled in Falls Church, Virginia. A few months later, son Robert, was born.
Naturalized as an American Citizen, she and her husband founded a steel fabrication business, Hallmark Iron Works in 1966, where she worked as the corporate secretary/bookkeeper. In 1985, Mr. and Mrs. Brown were key investors in the formation of Hallmark Bank & Trust in Springfield, VA.
Her interests included family, gardening, knitting, traveling and reading.
Mrs. Brown is survived by her half brother Michael Hubbins; 2 daughters and their spouses, Wendy K. Mercer & Charles Mercer and Linda D. Brown Keller & George Keller; son, Robert S. Brown; 5 grandchildren, Robin C. Mercer, Stacy M. Carter, Kimberly D. Wood, Christopher D. Mercer, and Ian T. McKay; and 6 great-grandchildren, Nathan Myers, John R. Carter, III, McKenzie E. Myers, Kenan M. Carter, Ellie S. Levy, and Edward C. Morgan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford H Brown.
