On Saturday, October 22, 2016 passed away peacefully. Fanny was the wife of Retired Navy Commander
William P. Hughes and loving mother of Thomas Latane Hughes of Alexandria. Fanny was born in Drewryville, Virginia, but had lived in Alexandria for the past 45 years. She was an alumna of Mary Baldwin College. Mrs. Hughes will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery alongside her husband of 60 years.
