Faye Marilyn Narmi (Age 77)
Of Alexandria, Virginia passed away peacefully of respiratory failure on October 7, 2012 at Mount Vernon Hospital with her husband at her side. Faye was born July 7, 1935 in Virginia, Minnesota to Leonard and Dimple Romer, took nurses training at the Mayo Brothers Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and worked professionally as a licensed Drug and Alcohol Abuse Counselor. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Rear Admiral Ronald Narmi USN (Ret.), sons Michael Narmi of Colfax, CA, Dr. Jeffrey Narmi of Bernville, PA, Christopher Narmi of Charlotte, NC, daughter Elizabeth Holliday of Lorton, VA and five grandchildren. Her volunteer work included Navy Relief, Fort Belvoir Catholic Community, and Past President of the Riverwood Homeowners Association. She travelled extensively during her husband’s 30 year Navy career including living overseas in Iceland and Japan. Viewing will be held at Demaines Funeral Home at 520 South Washington St. Alexandria, VA on Thursday, October 11th from 2 to 4 PM and from 6 to 8 PM. A Catholic Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Fort Belvoir Woodlawn Chapel (North Post) at 1030 AM on Friday October 12th. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made to the Huntington Disease Society, 505 Eighth Ave, Suite 902, New York, NY 10018.
