"Irene was a highly responsive and competent person, who ran the Good Shepherd kitchen for years.  Even after she left her position at Good Shepherd she continued to help with refreshments during the annual Lenten Mission and other events that required her expertise.  She was always on the alert to made sure that rules relative to sanitation were consistently followed.

Irene was a joy to work with in the kitchen at Good Shepherd.  She had so much expertise and knowledge.  She knew how to take charge of the process and bring together a meal for many.  Her energy and zest for life will surely be missed by many.  May she rest in peace.  My prayers are for her family to stay strong and support each other at this time.

To us, Irene was that energetic and competent lady at Good Shepherd Catholic Church who unfailingly gave her time and talent to almost every event that was going on. 

Later we got to know her better through our mutual work to design brochures and business cards for her cherished daycare activity. Meeting with Irene to go over her pictures and scrapbooks was truly heartwarming. How she loved those children! How she lived her slogan - a good beginning lasts forever!

Irene - your life on earth was a blessing to others.  May God bless you and keep you forever in His love.

Irene made the best sugar cut out cookies.  My family knew her through Good Shepherd Catholic Church.  She was always at the church's food functions as a certified Food Service Manager.  She will be missed.

Irene was a sweet and loving big sister to me, the youngest of her eleven siblings. As a young teenager, I spent summers in Virginia getting to know her better, and babysitting her kids and helping her catch up on her ironing - I loved to iron! There seemed to always be music and singing in her home. Irene loved her Frank Sinatra, "Frankie," as she affectionately called him. But most of all, she loved it when her husband, Lenny, sang to her in that beautiful baritone voice of his! I believe she would swoon... And ballroom dancing together became their passion, even though Lenny's health failed. Irene continued this passion for ballroom dancing for both of them for many more years. Dear Irene, you will be missed --- we'll all just have to hang in there! Love always, from your baby sister, Daphne.

Irene gave our to girls the best foundation a parent could ever ask for she loved our girls like her own what ever they do in life will be a large part from the loving care they recieved from "Rere" rest in peace and thank you

"Rere" lovingly cared for our two girls from their infancy through toddlerhood.  She was like a third Grandma to them and they loved her fully.   As did we.  To this day, when people compliment us on the girls' manners or demeanor, my husband and I turn to each other and say "Rere" because she was that important to them and to us.  We will miss her so much but her memory and influence will live on.  God bless her -- I know she took the express train to heaven, where surely, every day, she will dance.   We love you Rere!
