Tara, I was so glad to see your memory of your grandmother at this point in time.  She was a very good friend of mine and I think about her all the time.  She will never be forgotten.

Grandma , I will always remember our visits. You and I going to murder theater and shopping with aunt Gina. Walking to Ben and Jerry's  and riding bikes to the big lips fountain.  I hope you are up there sitting with your glass of wine watching grandpa cook.  

The laughter and memories I have of my mother in law Jean could never fade. There are so many years of them. The many vacation’s we spent together opened up my world. She believed it was the moments shared together that were the most meaningful, and for that lesson I will be forever grateful. I hold her memory close to my heart and  always will. Her laughter I will always hear.

There are no words I can use to describe the loss of someone as special as my mother.  She was just not my mother but also one of my best friends.  I loved speaking, laughing, and traveling with her and my Dad.  She was a spirited, passionate, fun woman.  I loved every one of our conversation which often lasted for hours and occasionally she even listened!    She was truly an independent thinker, who loved art (Modigliani), music (Barry Manilow), and the theater (Jersey Boys).  Even though she is not with me anymore physically, I will always hold my loving memories of her close to my heart and in that sense she will never be gone.  



Words can't express my sorrow in losing a friendship of over 20 years. As Jean always told me we had a Simpatico relationship. The song, I Did It My Way, is how she lived and passed. She truly lived and loved life and made a profound impact on everyone she knew. God bless you Jean, you are one in a million. You will always be in my heart and mind. Kathy Nicosia

I am so sad at the loss of one of our Golden Girls.   
Jean was always up for an adventure and found something to laugh about at every turn.  Laughter was truly Jean's spice of life!  I really enjoyed getting to know and spending time with her.  Jean lived a full and happy life and loved her family and friends very much.

Jean, I will miss you dearly and think of you often.

Jackie Carbe introduced me to Jean.  In the last two years Jean joined us in the ritual friends hold sacrosanct: Lunch.  It is the time to relax, be yourself.  In Jean I found a kindred spirit, always optimistic, upbeat with a sense of humor that enlightened our time together.

 She spoke to politics, philosophy, psychology and entertainment with the same open and loving spirit.  There was no guile in Jean, only honesty which I saw as a gift when I was in her company.  I will miss her.

Some people leave an  indelible mark on the lives of others and Jean was definitely one of them.   Her zest for life was infectious, and she had the ability to make everyone feel welcomed and special.   Her door was always open and her warm hospitality and sense of fun was unbounded.   When you entered her home, music was always playing …. how she loved to dance too.   She was true to all her friends and loved her family dearly.    She always said she was a very lucky woman …. did it all and had a wonderful life.   We are lucky to have had her in our lives …. she’ll live on in our memory and hearts forever .

Jean's Happy Hour was been our goto place on Friday evenings for several years.  She was the proverbial welcome lady, the consummate hostess--and we were grateful to be called friends.  She was generous, kind, always joyful and her humor and laughter were the standards.  She was so darn easy to love.  To say that she is going to be missed is an understatement.  So here's to you Jean, you bright, shining light.  We'll miss you forever!!  Love, Bill and Rosemary 

To all of Jean's family, please know that she is someone who was loved by so many...and we are all feeling the loss.  I don't think I've ever come across anyone quite like her in my life.  She was simply a joy to be around. But in knowing that she wasn't comfortable in her final months, I can feel relieved that she's at peace now.  

So cheers to you, Jean. Thank you for all the cocktails, the laughter, and the great debates. You truly made my life better by being in it.
