John Joseph Covert (Jack), age 73, of Ship Bottom, NJ died on Thursday, June 16th, 2011. Born and raised in Phila., formerly of Pennsauken, Jack moved to Ship Bottom in 2000. He volunteered many hours at All Saints Regional Catholic School and St. Francis Food Bank, was a member of the Ship Bottom Land Use Board and the Republican Club. His interests over the years included fine woodworking, stained glass, reading and computer repair. Jack will be remembered as the loving husband of Noreen (also deceased), the devoted father of John, Susan and Kelly, and the proud "Pop-Pop" of eleven grandchildren (Nora, Jake, Maggie, Harry, Cecilia, Colleen, Anne, Meg, Samantha, Jackie and Abigail).
A Viewing will be held on Monday, June 27th, 2011 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Mass at Noon at St. Francis RC Church.
