I am so very sorry to hear that Karen has passed away.  She was a beautiful person and so smart and so very accomplished.  She was also way too young.

I am very sad to learn of the passing of my good friend Karen. I just can't believe she is gone. I was planning to see her in Florida in March. 

Karen was one of the first people I met when I moved to Alexandria in 2009. She was warm and welcoming and kind and our friendship continued while I was posted overseas, she wrote and kept in touch. She kindly let me stay at her house when I visited. We spent many evenings at 1/2 price burger night at Ramparts, at restaurant week deals, at the St Patrick's day parade, the Scottish Walk, New Year's Eve. 

Most of all I want to tell you all how much she loved you, her family. I feel as if I know all of you, she spoke of you so often and so lovingly. 

May God bless all of you always. Rest In Peace, my friend.

To Karen's family; please accept my deepest, heavy hearted condolences as I know how much you all meant to Karen. She spoke of you often and with so much  love. Karen was a "Saint" to everyone she knew and met.  We became close just as she was recovering from her heart attack and I radical changes  in my personal life. Karen was everyone's rock.  She was mine too.
The seminary teaches us about our Loving God's words but I find there are none that I can  speak to you,  in order to relieve the heartache of loss that you and we all feel with her  passing.  As you grieve please think of something about  our Karen and surely she will bring a smile to your face and warm your heart.
So we say our goodbyes to our "Saint Karen".  Rest In Peace my Dear as I know you are truly with our Lord.

Karen and I worked together for over fifteen years.  She was a manager I always respected and admired; as the years passed, she also became a kind and supportive friend.  We shared a lot of great times and success.  RIP, I will miss you.

Karen was a wonderful person, and a talented colleague.  I wish I had told her that to her face more frequently.  It was always a pleasure to be with her.  RIP.  We will remember you.

Karen found a spot for me in her organization when none really existed. She was a tremendous leader, fierce in her support of her employees. She had a big laugh and huge smile and could communicate without ever saying a word. The world has lost a great person.

I was so very sad to hear about Karen.  She was a great leader at West for many years. Leader in all sense of the word.  She was so very knowledgable and professional and kind.  While I did not work with her directly her tentacles reached far and wide. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Our hearts are broken.  We will never forget Karen showing up at our door when we first moved next door to her.  She had an umbrella since it was pouring rain outside, and she wanted to give us a flashlight, extra batteries, and candles just in case we lost power during the storm.  That was the beginning of getting to know how wonderful and fun Karen was.  

Dear Karen, you left us too soon, and I will always feel the deep void of your absence.  Thank you for your incredible spark, deep wisdom, and fun laughter.  You touched our family with your consistent generosity and compassion.  I already miss you so much, my friend.  The only thing that gives me comfort is knowing that you have been reunited with your loved ones who went before you and a certainty you are soaring high with angel's wings.

To Karen's family, I know how much she loved you and enjoyed your many get togethers.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you.  Please know Karen's wit and compassion will live on in my children since she led by example as she watched them grow.
