Karl L. Bennett

Karl Lee Bennett, age 72, passed away on February 23, 2013 in Alexandria, Virginia after losing his battle with cancer. He was a loving and generous friend to his two brothers, a sister, five nephews and one niece, as well as grand nephews and grand nieces.

After graduating from Union college in Kentucky, he served in the Air National guard before embarking on a successful career as an accountant for the District of Columbia government. Upon retiring from his civil service position, he worked for several years as a sales consultant for Walmart.

An avid reader, he also enjoyed playing golf, bird watching and traveling each year with his twin brother to visit his sister in Utah. He cared deeply for all animals and his family requests that, in his memory, a donation be made to the Fairfax Humane Society. A private service will be held at a later date for the disposal of the cremated ashes.
