Kathleen Elizabeth Connors

Born and raised in Long Valley, NJ, Kate graduated from west Morris Central High School in 1983 and then attended Dover Business College. Kate relocated to Northern Virginia in 1991, and shortly thereafter met and married the love of her life, Shawn Connors. Together they welcomed their son, Michael, in 2004. Being a wife and mother were Kate’s two greatest joys.

Kate is survived by her husband of 15 years, Shawn, and their son Michael, of Alexandria, VA. She is also survived by her parents, Richard and Pat DeHaven, of Port Orange, FL; a brother, Gerry DeHaven, and his wife Michelle, of Princeton, NJ; a sister, Kerry Loughlin, and her husband Ted, of Lititz, PA; a sister, Erin Lesperance, and her husband Steve, of Marshfield, MA; her mother-in-law, Pat Connors-Dzanis, and her husband Edd, of Alexandria, VA; a sister-in-law Michelle Brewster and her husband Jamie, of Alexandria, VA; six nephews, 5 nieces, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 on Sunday July 22nd at Demaine Funeral Home at 520 South Washington Street Alexandria, VA. A funeral mass will be held at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 8710 Mount Vernon Highway, Alexandria, VA on Monday July 23rd at 10:30am. A burial service at Mount Comfort Cemetery in Alexandria, VA will immediately follow.
