I met Larry at Norfolk State Univ. when we both entered as freshmen.  He always had a great personality that was accompanied with that big grin of his.  Larry was a wonderful person and friend, the kind you never forget.  I will surely miss him.

I knew Larry through his sons whom I taught for several years. Larry always made time to add to my lessons for the children through his work at NGA. He reached out to my Mom when he learned she loved the beach. Without hesitation, he bought a beach umbrella centerpiece for my Mom at the Gala. Mom sat under that beach umbrella next to "her" beach from Larry for many years. He touched my life on many levels. I am grateful. Art teacher to Jeffrey and Chris.

I was very saddened to hear of the passing of Larry. I met Larry when I went to work at Riverside.  I found him to be a very kind and caring man. My deepest sympathy and prayers to his family and friends.

We are very sorry for your loss. I didn't know Larry very well but our sons played together often, and still do.  He was always a friendly neighbor smiling and waving every time we saw him.  My son said that when he and Larry's sons played basketball in the driveway, Larry would always be an encouraging father and tell them that they are playing very well saying "good job". Larry was a faithful warrior for the Lord, and this flowed over into his personal and professional life. His family and mine were great friends and we are grieving right along side the family. He loved his home church, First Baptist, and that's where you could find him on homecoming Sunday if you hadn't seen him in years. Family, remember that God has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Larry. My thoughts and prayers are with family during this difficult time. Larry and I have been friends since high school. We really bonded about 15 yrs. ago when we both became Fathers of sons. Every week we would compare notes about our sons. I am really going to miss him. During one of our last conversations, He   told me to pray for peace for a sick relative. He was caring guy and will be missed by all.

To the Family of Larry L. Lewis...
I was very saddened to hear of Larry's passing.  I worked with Larry at the National Gallery of Art until I retired in 2000.  He was the chief auditor and I was a Computer Specialist responsible for installing and maintaining the Gallery's Financial Software.  We were both part of the Treasurer's office and worked together on many auditing projects. We worked together on several financial system conversion/upgrade projects and I found him to be quite capable in his auditor's profession and an all around nice person.  I remember when he got married...how happy he was; and when his son Jeffrey (?) was born.  He was so proud to be a father.  Whenever he would have his son at work, he would always bring him to my office so I could see how much he had grown.  Please accept my family's most sincere and heartfelt condolences for your loss.  I'm sure he will be greatly missed.
