Louise Jennette Miller

Louise (Buzz) Miller, 91 Louise Jennette Miller, aged 91, died peacefully on Sunday, July 23, 2017, at The Fairfax in Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Louise was born June 19, 1926 in Warren County, North Carolina, the daughter of the late Charles Lee Jennette and Louise Bond Jennette. Louise – (her friends called her Buzz) – grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina, where she lived with her mother, sister Dorothy and brothers Charles and Robert. She met and later married Charles Greenwood Miller, Jr. who predeceased her in January 2000. In addition to raising four children, Louise enjoyed painting, sewing, playing bridge, golf, and traveling with her husband. She liked to entertain and spend quality time with family and friends. As the wife of a naval officer, she participated actively in church, charitable and volunteer activities wherever they were stationed. In 1984, Louise and her husband Chuck retired to Palm Coast, Florida where they built a home on the Intercoastal Waterway, made close friends, enjoyed golf, church activities, and boating together on their trawler, “Miller Time”. In 2007, Louise moved to The Fairfax retirement community, close to her youngest daughter Ann and her family. Louise is survived by her two daughters, Ann and her husband Alan Evans in Alexandria, VA; Margaret and her husband Robert Earl of Laguna Beach, CA; sons, Robert Miller and his wife Deborah of Front Royal, VA, and Charles Miller and his wife Rita of Birmingham, MI; six grandchildren and one great grandchild, and numerous friends. There will be a graveside service for family and friends at Arlington National Cemetery, October 16, at 2pm, where Louise will be buried with her husband. The family wishes to thank all the wonderful nurses and care providers at The Fairfax Reminiscence Center for their joyful, gentle and loving care of our mother.
