On April 5, 2021 Marie Christine Todd passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, John Todd; her children John (Margaret), William (Ann), Jean Todd Kiniry, Douglas (Leigh Ann); eleven grand-children; two great-grandchildren; and her twin brother, Edward Barbagallo. She is preceded in death by her parents Salvatore and Lucia Barbagallo, her brothers Charles and Joseph Barbagallo, and son-in-law Paul Kiniry. Marie is a 1958 Magna Cum Laude graduate of Boston College, as part of the first group of women admitted to attend on the main campus of Chestnut Hill. After raising her family, she taught English in the Virginia university system. She then led a distinguished career as a training development professional for the General Services Administration in Washington D.C.

A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, April 14th at 11am at St. Louis Catholic Church, 2907 Popkins Lane, Alexandria VA. Internment will occur at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
