

Mark R. Leber of Locust Grove, Virginia passed away Monday August 6, 2012 in Olympia, Washington. He is survived by his former wife Patricia Leber; his two daughters, Elizabeth Townsley and her husband Chris, and Carrie House; his four grandchildren, Garrett Vaughn, Hayley House, Madison Townsley, and Brett Townsley; his mother, Shirley Leber; and his two brothers Joel Leber and his wife Pauline and Erik Leber and his wife Chandy. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Leber, who was a great influence in his life and his son-in-law, Paul House, whom he respected and loved.
Mark was born on July 29, 1952 in Washington, DC and grew up in Greenbelt, Md. Mark (aka Pesky, Paw-Paw, Pops, Marky Mark, and Daddy-O) was devoted to his family and befriended everyone he met. He was an avid fan of music, sports, American history, movies, facebook, and tigers. He had the best sense of humor and always wore a smile on his face. Mark was an exceptional person who truly enjoyed life.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday August 14th from 7-9 p.m. with funeral services on Wednesday August 15th at 10:30 a.m. at Demaine Funeral Home, 520 S. Washington St., Alexandria, VA 22314. Interment will take place at Washington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Lung Association or National Wildlife Federation.
