She was born on February 24,1948 in Glen Cove, NY, daughter of the late Bernard Paul and Mary Ellen (Lipnicke) Horan. She retired from a career in healthcare, loved to collect antiques, and was an avid gardener throughout her life.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Anthony Whittaker; a daughter, Mary Elizabeth D’Alessio and her husband, Michael of Bushkill, PA; a son, Robert Bernard Whittaker and his husband, Thomas of Alexandria, VA; two grandchildren, Alyssa and Renato D’Alessio; and one sister, Margaret Horan of Alexandria, VA.
A Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday September 21, 2023 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church by Father Tom Ferguson.
