Maurice Joseph Vagaggini

Born on May 23, 1920 in Harrisburg, PA, he was the son of the late Luigi and Margarita Barsanti Vagaggini. He was predeceased by his wife Setsu Vagaggini, his sisters Antoinette T. Vagaggini Murlin and Derna Vagaggini Gornik, and brother John G. Vagaggini.

He retired as a Correctional Officer with the DC Department of Corrections; Maurice served over 20 years with the US Army, including World War II, retiring as a SFC; a member of Saint Louis Catholic Church Alexandria, VA., the Knight of Columbus Council 11170, American Legion Post 162 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Surviving are his son Joseph P. Vagaggini and grandchildren Jacqueline and Dylan Sereno of Woodbridge, VA and his sister Rose Vagaggini DiStephano of Hummelstown, PA and several nieces and nephews in PA.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am on Wednesday November 15, 2017 at Saint Louis Catholic Church 2907 Popkins Lane, Alexandria, VA 22306. Visitation will be held at the Church prior to the Mass at 9:30 am. Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery at 1:00pm.
