Max Mitchell Bellune

On Friday January 10th, 2020 Max Mitchell Bellune, loving husband and father, passed away at the age of 85. Max was born on July 9th, 1934 in Bradenton Florida to John and Ethel Bellune. In 1954 he received his Associates Degree in Applied Science majoring in Photography. He then received his B.S. in Communication Arts from Boston University in 1956, majoring in Radio and Television Production . Max enjoyed a 23-year career in the Navy and followed this with another 19 years in the defense industry. Max was a man of many interests and throughout his life loved to travel, to photograph just about anything, to listen to music, and to drink and collect wine. He loved aviation and watching football, especially the Redskins. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ailene Nalepa Bellune. Max is survived by their children Jeffrey Bellune (Ann) and Julia Sandubrae (Jeff), grandchildren, Ryan, Alex, Avrianna, Grayson and Garrett Bellune, and Bradley (Morgan) and Matthew Sandubrae. He is also survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Karen Sanders Bellune, and her children, Scott Sanders (Lisa Morikado), Mike Sanders (Jackie) and Jeffrey Sanders (Kyryn) and grandchildren, Ethan, Logan, Kaitlin, Harrison, Jackson, Tyson, Gibson, and Greyson Sanders. Funeral services will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
