Pat was a teacher in the Fairfax County school system for over 30 years. Teaching in the elementary school setting in different areas including working with special needs children. She was an active volunteer in her church and her community.
Pat was predeceased by her husband Lloyd, and is survived by her children Lloyd Theodore Hoppe, Jr. (Beth), Judith Hoppe Lease (Daniel) and Margaret Katherine Dean (William), her 6 grandchildren, her 2 great grandchildren and her brother Kenneth Leland.
Pat's favorite thing in the world were books. In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation be made to Reading Is Fundamental (rif.org).
The service will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mark's Episcopal Church located at 6744 S Kings Hwy, Alexandria, VA 22306.
Following the service there will be a graveside gathering at 11:30 a.m. at Mt. Comfort Cemetery located at 6600 S Kings Hwy, Alexandria, VA 22306.
