Patrick Anthony Slack-Valentino, 23 years, 7 months, 20 days. Patrick died suddenly and painlessly in a motorcycle accident on his way home from the opening Orioles baseball game on Monday, April 4, 2011, in Baltimore, MD. Patrick was a native of West Palm Beach,Florida, he loved life and lived every moment to its fullest. He never lost the passion for riding BMX with all his "brothers" from Westgate. He attended Palm Beach Lakes High Schoolin West Palm Beach, Florida and was a center for the Rams' Football team during his freshman year. He attended Smithtown High School West, in Nesconset, NY, and played on the Lacrosse team. He graduated from Riviera Beach MarineAcademy in Riviera Beach, FL. He attended Palm Beach Community Collegewhere he earned his Emergency Medical Technician's Certificate, which led to his career choice as a medic for the United States Army. Patrick's boot camp traning was at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, and his medic training at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Patrick served a year at Yangsan, South Korea, where he met and married his wife, Tonya Hash. Patrick and Tonya returned home to the United States where he was stationed at Walter Reed Medical Center, Washington, DC. Patrick achieved the rank of Specialist. Patrick leaves behind his Wife, Tonya Slack-Valentino, and his unborn son, Jamieson Anthony Slack-Valentino. Jamieson is due to make his grand entrance into this world July 14, 2011. God speed Jamieson and God bless. Your dad will forever be at your side. Patrick's mom, Sherri R. Slack, and her husband Edward Jenkins, of North Palm Beach, Florida. Patrick's dad, Joseph Valentino, and his wife, Jennifer of Nesconset, New York. Patrick's maternal grandparents, Patricia A. and Jonathan L. Slack, of Loxahatchee,Florida. Patrick's paternal grandparents, John and Louise Valentino of Coram, New York. Patrick's brother, Brad K. Rafter and his wife Jennifer of West Palm Beach, Florida. The brothers were inseparable and will remain so. Patrick's sisters, Toni, Dani and Jessi Valentino of Nesconset, New York. At age 18, Patrick made his first snowman with his baby sister, Dani. Pat and Toni loved to go to the movies, especially Harry Potter. Jessie and Pat had long talks about their hopes and dreams. He filled his NY family and home with laughter, joy and unconditional love. Patrick's maternal aunts and uncle: Godmother, Theresa L. Pearsall and her husband Jay, of North Palm Beach, FL, Cynthia A Barber of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Kimberly R. Pollard and her husband Bud, of North Palm Beach, FL, and Patrick's treasured Uncle Jonathan L. Slack, II and his wife Nicole of Loxahatchee, FL. Patrick's paternal aunts and uncle: John Valentino and his wife Vicki, of Nesconset, NY, Jerry Valentino and his wife Anne Marie, of Wantagh, NY, and Laura Jesswein and her husband Bobby, of Dothan, Alabama. Patrick's extended family include but in no means limited to: John Patrick Rafter, Patrick and Betty Rafter and the entire Meeks-Rafter Clans of West Palm Beach, River Ranch and Alaska. Patrick's dearest and much loved childhood life long friends, Mike Cesta, Billy Mitchell, Ron Brown, Jennifer Cesta, Dolly Mitchell, Dean Zelaya, Jason Staba, Jeremy Ferraro, Danielle Elizabeth Mitchell, Kim Worley, Joshua James, Rodney Archer, Jason Rohlfs, Elizabeth Parra-Barnes, Morgan Schuyler, Rob Johnson, Jeremy White, Justin Rivera, Matthew and Vinny Romano, Trevor Davis, Stephanie Johnson, Brandon Tufts, Gemma Rose, Patricia Taylor, Alyse Jackson Megan, Kristi Slater, Troy Lockert, April Ryan Jones, Ryan Soukup, Tricia Hart Bowman, Donna Hart, Justin davis, Cherish Cook, Dino Congelio, Cait Zilla, Danielle Casey, Todd Vandergriff, Jesse Warmack, Libby Moncada, Bonnie Murray, Jessica Duggar, Jamie Keys, Amber Lynn Langston, Patrick Madsen, Lindsay Buchanan, Brian Culler, Libby Moncada, Travis Tennant, Kenny Albitton, Yhasmin Ruesta, Lisca Scholl, Brandon Murray, Hannah Spitz, Maurice Rodriguez, Keishia LeValley, Kari Jenkins, Nicholas Jenkins, Kurt Jenkins, Daniel and Danya Jenkins. Patrick's battle buddies include but are in no way limited to, Jonathan Reynolds, Tim Rohr, Tiffany White, Michelle Haskins VanHorn and the entire United States Army. Services will be held at Demaine Funeral Home, 520 South Washington Street, Alexandria, VA 22314. (703) 549-0074. Viewing will be Monday, April 11, 2011, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm; Service will be held Tuesday April 12, 2011 beginning at 12:00 noon, with viewing beginning at 11:00 am. There will be a reception afterwards at Euro Bistro on Highway One. Tonya and all of Patrick's families wish to express their gratitude for the support of each other and from their friends. Everyone's kind words and remembrances of our Patrick is soothing when everything hurts. Thank you all.
