Raymond Luther Lambert Jr.

Ricky was born August 22, 1955 at Camp LeJeune, NC and was a graduate of Princeton High School.

Ricky was a master mechanic, who began his 45-year career with Dalton’s Automotive of Princeton, and most recently worked for Terry Parks at AAA Septic Service of Princeton. Ricky’s passion in life was drag-racing, and he was a member of several successful racing teams throughout his career, including a stint with Geoff Bodine’s NASCAR team. One of his proudest accomplishments was setting the leaf spring world record with Terry and Dustin Parks drag-racing team in 2019, a record which still stands. Ricky will be greatly missed by his entire racing family.

Ricky was also an avid World Word II history buff, with a special interest in WWII aircraft engines. He enjoyed several visits to the Air & Space Museum in Washington DC to see and study these aircraft firsthand.

Ricky is survived by his mother Ruth Lambert of Gaithersburg, MD; his sister Rita Lambert of Alexandria, VA; his aunt Virginia Mills and uncle Joe Thompson, both of Princeton, WV, and several cousins.

Cremation will be handled by Demaine Funeral Home in Alexandria, VA.
