Richard was born on May 3, 1936, the son of T. Byron White and Eliza White. He grew up in Suffolk Virginia. After graduating from college, he was drafted into the U. S. Army where he served three years bringing him to Alexandria, Virginia. After his time in service, he was hired by the U. S. Government as a commercial artist. He worked for the Department of Transportation and the Department of Commerce. He retired from the Government and went on to manage two different tennis clubs.
Richard met and married Kemlee Khale and together they raised two children: Jeffrey Todd White & Stephen Khale White. He was a devoted father and was always there to offer guidance and love. He enjoyed spending time with his family and raising his two boys.
Richard had many passions in life. He loved to play tennis and was always up for a game. He also loved to practice magic and was always ready to wow you with his sleight of hand. He obtained his private pilot’s license and enjoyed his time in the air.
He also was a long-standing member of the Old Dominion Boat Club, and many memories were made at the Club.
He is survived by his two sons, Todd and Steve White and one granddaughter, Stephanie.
A celebration of life will follow at a later date.
