He was a WWII veteran, where he served with the US Army Corp of Engineers. He then provided exemplary service with the US Army Material Development and Readiness Command from 1942 through1980.
He is survived by his son, William F. Fredenburg, and his granddaughter, Samantha L. Fredenburg. The eldest of nine siblings, he also leaves behind his remaining sisters, Sally Clay and Helen Demo.
A visitation for Mr. Fredenburg will be held Friday, September 7, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Demaine Funeral Home, 520 South Washington Street, Alexandria, VA 22314.
A small graveside service will occur Saturday, September 8, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Mount Comfort Cemetery, 6600 S Kings Highway, Alexandria, VA 22306.
