

Wilson J. (Chip) Roberts, Jr., 65, of Alexandria, VA, passed away peacefully at home on March 15, 2026. Mr. Roberts is survived by his sister Elizabeth R. Glasser also of Alexandria, VA and various extended family members in Florida, Georgia and South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his father, retired naval officer and aviator, Wilson J. Roberts, Sr. and his mother, Robbie D. Roberts, both originally from the historic, charming Lowcountry town of Georgetown, SC.
Mr. Roberts was born in Portsmouth, VA, raised in a military family and lived in six different U.S. states. He graduated from Mount Vernon High School (Alexandria, VA), attended Longwood College (Farmville, VA) and spent most of his professional career as an automotive consultant providing field support to long-term litigation cases.
He was an avid golfer, life-long fisherman and enthusiastic amateur snow skier. In addition, Mr. Roberts was a life-long fan and supporter of the Washington sports teams, including the Nationals baseball and the Capitals hockey organizations, as well as the Washington football franchise.
Mr. Roberts was a long-time resident of the Manchester Park Circle (Alexandria) neighborhood and very much enjoyed being a part of his close community for almost 30 years.
Mr. Roberts was well known for his exuberant personality, humorous talkative nature and caring interest in those around him. He will be much missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
A private memorial gathering for family and friends is planned for April.
