Alice Murphy Postans

Alice was born June 16, 1939 in Beaverdam, VA. She retired from the Telephone industry after forty (40) years including the honor of serving as the President of the Carl Hill Galloway Pioneer Club. Alice volunteered for countless hours throughout the community including years of supporting the Altamonte Springs Police Department – COP Center. She and her husband George enjoyed many weeks traveling to Europe, Canada and 48 US states. Her hobbies included, painting, wreath making and playing Wordle. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by parents Clarence and Alice Murphy.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, George L. Postans. Son, George L. Postans, Jr. (Susan) Daughter, Alice Cavallo (Daniel) Grandson Zachary Postans (Jensyn) Granddaughters Rebecca Rocca (Jay), Christine Cavallo, Elizabeth Cavallo Great Grandchildren Jacob, Abram and Cassidy Siblings, Jean Murphy Harris, Clarence Murphy (Pat), Dale Murphy Taylor (Art) and William Murphy (Julie)

Alice was a Lifetime Member of The Disciples of Christ, Christian Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, an organization Alice felt strongly about.

A celebration of life service for Alice will be held Monday, June 26, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 994 E ALTAMONTE DR, ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, FL 32701.
