Arlys Ann Magorien was born in 1937 to Howard and Alice Magorien in Mission Hill, South Dakota. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Arlys married Gerald (Jerry) Schiedel and they raised two children, Barry and Roxane, in Merritt Island, Florida. Arlys loved her family and put them first. She co-owned and over saw finances of their family business and home.

Arlys and Jerry shared many happy years in Hendersonville, North Carolina at their vacation home as well as in Longwood where they resided. She and Jerry were married for 60 years on March 8th.

Over the years, Arlys spent much of her free time enjoying working out, traveling, helped in the family business, rollerblading, playing tennis and loved spending time with family and friends. She was very young at heart. She had a deep love of the ocean and mountains. She loved to fish, snorkel and loved dolphins and sea life. Her favorite place was called Pretty Place in the mountains near their vacation home.

Arlys loved helping those in need and was extremely generous to many charitable organizations she felt drawn to. She loved being behind the scenes and did not like attention. She was crazy about her children and grandchildren and loved hosting fun parties for them when they were little and loved attending their sports activities throughout their years.

Arlys attended Northland, A Church Distributed. She loved to travel and especially loved meeting her best friend in Branson, Missouri every year. She and Jerry enjoyed travel to Brazil and South America.

Arlys leaves behind to cherish her memory: her Husband of 60 years Jerry Schiedel of Longwood, Fla., Son Barry (Beth) Schiedel of Longwood, Fl, Daughter Roxane (Rick) Mann of Longwood, Fl, Grandson, Ryan Schiedel of Cocoa, Fla, Grandson, Kyle Schiedel of Cape Canaveral, Fla, Granddaughter Brandie Schiedel of Orlando, Grandson Cory Schiedel of Orlando, and Grandson Branson Mann of Longwood, Fla., and sister Mary Ellen Allen of Columbia, South Carolina.

A Celebration of Life will be held 11 AM, Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Northland, A Church Distributed with a Reception immediately following in the Lobby of the Church.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Easter was a Blessed Day indeed in that we celebrated Jesus Christ as our risen Lord and Saviour. Can you imagine the joy and celebration in Heaven and our precious Arlys was there to celebrate it with Jesus and loved ones who went before her. The church service to celebrate Arlys' life was well done by her family with the video, music and words spoken by her family. You all areArly's legacy of a life well lived. She may be away from you in body but always close to your hearts. Arly was a special friend and I will treasure her always. I thank God for the kind, gentle, and gracious person she was and such a blessing to me throughout the years. She enriched everyone's life that she knew. Cliff and I will continue to pray for Arlys' family as they mourn their loss of Arlys.
Loving yours in Christ,
Gloria and Cliff Collins

My condolences Roxane to you and the family. I remember meeting your mom when she would come with you to Branson’s tennis matches. A true fan indeed! You and Rick always took such good care of her as you helped her get seated and comfortable and tended to her needs. One could never doubt the love you had for your mom. She was blessed to have you for a daughter.

Roxanne and family,
Never met your mom but just knowing you I can imagine how lovely she was! It is so difficult to let go of someone you love so much. Please know I hold you in thought and prayer. Your faith is strong and you have beautiful memories, I know!

I am very sorry for your loss. I am also very sorry that your family has to go through this, nobody should have to lose someone they love. Something many people forget and something a lot of people don't know is that " death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore...". -Revelation 21:4. It doesn't make losing someone easier, but it does give us hope. Again, my deepest condolences.

Dear Roxane,
My heart is so heavy for you and your family. I can still remember your beautiful, outgoing Mom from our days in the Diana Shores neighborhood. I have lovely memories of your parents and how much they loved one another and you and Barry.
I’ve lit a prayer candle for you this morning hoping that in some small way it will bring you calm and peace during this very difficult time.
With love, Maggie
