Frank served 20 years in the US Air Force, including tours of Viet Nam, after four years in the Navy. The family lived in places like Baccaville and Caribou, and then Seymour Johnson AFB in Goldsboro, North Carolina where he retired from his job as a jet engine technician in the military and moved to Orlando. He was a Boy Scout Commissioner in North Carolina and participated in a many-mile Freedom Walk to Washington, DC.
Frank is survived by Nancy Ellis, his wife of 40 years, his adult children Dawn Williams of Mississippi, Michael Ellis of Orlando, and Paul Ellis of South Carolina, step-children Rochelle Thompson of Orlando and Paul Koren of California. His 87-year-old sister Elaine Huntington is in Wilmington, Delaware, the place of Frank’s birth.
He was preceded in death by his sisters Carole Palicka and Bobbi Ponsetti of Ohio.
At Frank’s request, the Memorial Lodge of the local Masonic district is officiating and participating in the graveside service at All Faiths Memorial Park in Casselberry. Frank became a Master Mason at South Seminole Lodge #364 in 1995 and was elected as their Worshipful Master in 2002. He then served as the lodge musician for 17 years. He was also a member of the Bahia Shrine and the Scottish Rite.
Among his many interests were fishing, flying remote planes, punch embroidery, making people, buildings and sets for his N-gauge railroad, and watching movies.
